Spent Friday at the Road 2 Ca quilt convention looking at all of the beautiful quilts on display. There is definitely something for everyone. Traditional, modern, appliqué, pieced, old, new, sewn by machine, sewn by hand and many, many more!! Then there is the shopping. Oh my!! You can get in trouble at this place. <div><br></div><div> I won the Sunday prize!!! And will be the proud owner of a Martelli Cutting Table. <div>I don't have a good picture yet but will add a better one as soon as it arrives and I get it set up.</div><div><br></div><div><br><div>Check out the photos.. I only took a few and forgot to take a pic of each bio of the quilter so I can not show them here. Took some time off from the blog, retail Holiday was really grueling this year starting in August. One more week, an inventory from he@& or heaven we will see......then a much needed vacation. <br>
<br>
I'm looking for some new bees to join this year and found one over in Instagram if anyone is interested. #challengeacceptedbee2015. Seems like it is going to be fun. I have never done an Instagram challenge so lots of new things to learn and new people to meet! <br>
<br>
I am still in the "Get Your Hex On Bee" but that will be wrapping up soon over on Flickr.<br>
<br>
Anyone know about some fun groups to join? <br>
<br>
Here is my latest project, wool hat for my daughter.<br>
About 10 more rows to go....<br>

<div>
<br></div>
<div>
I found these on a Flickr swap group where you sign up for a set amount and sent them in, then they mix them all up and sent them back out so you get a nice scrappy variety of blocks back. <br>
<br>
<img id="id_6d6d_817b_42ef_c20" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVSTacgsKaqKU_qFo7Jow5KT_eSJzjIRSmJcSn1kCeyuvJjiLgJCGCi_HU_Ks6BtdxNIBbMC4g65DlfEUW0RESaadder8rc5gD-fwXzVFXBPAr7RyF7Nw36xXhyphenhyphenwgxuRHG8UeNgkyzTOGr//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 527px;"><br>
<br>
Now I have seen these before, however these have a cut pieced strip at the center of each one that makes them more interesting. I chose to add a 1/2" finished, white strip on both sides of the center strip and I think that really sets off the piecing. Not sure I want to send them off for the swap. You can check it out on Flickr <a href="https://www.flickr.com/groups/scrappyblockswap/" target="_blank">here.</a><br>
<br>
These blocks are sewn onto a 6 1/2" square of computer paper with a very short stitch length so the paper will pull off easy. So far I am happy with the results. <br>

Looks like I will have to come up with some other cushions to design. </div><div><br></div><div>Working on some string blocks now....pictures to come soon.</div><div><br></div><div>Happy sewing, K</div>Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10695728117373061095noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383398111288774662.post-68119185714862499532014-03-23T17:58:00.001-07:002014-03-23T17:58:55.774-07:00So Busy SundayI have been so busy lately that my blog is neglected!! <div><br></div><div>Today I went on a couple hour hike in the mountains just above my house...well we had to drive for 30 min but it was great. Shaded pathways, bubbling stream, the company of my daughter. We went 2 miles and it was uphill all the way. I really enjoyed the peacefulness even if I was huffing and puffing to get up the hill. We ate our lunch by the stream and then headed back down the trail. Much easier than up, that's for sure! </div><div><br></div><div>After that we drove quite a way to go see a dog shoe that I am interested in competing in. I am definitely signing up for the next agility trial at City of Industry. Only 40 min away from home and in a covered arena. Not too hot for my puppy. Here is a pic from out first trial. We have our first title Novice Jumpers. Next we show in the open catagory a bit harder but we are ready for the challenge!!</div><div><br></div><div> I did get to sew up some hexies while she was driving!</div><div><img id="id_2f1_ebe8_edc7_6b44" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlW8zCigaZZKQsAIlz6UNhVf7tVCQKxq4GdUfHLXO78wx0cOanjt9mz_ldIIsRdrj_rZoAxteR35bTLvRPdCC-Hhsf-g-O3tuvDvUymCbj1VL6wGSV9ASdeHD5C1rZwd_zaRc5uL85Xh65//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 473px;"></div><img id="id_e5fa_daa1_b065_f10f" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYjebC47-Q296Cs9nwvJ3sNWGDqponDc-w3nPsfbfUqFyWMfdJH4HZC1iLAuE5xBr87BN2BM3jeyo0TvzM1bWjsE0hB-d0C4qkkLGLIPH6-d1Ybh6OxKt7hl2XLbL6EEsV1ygN32oLud_6//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 1065px;"><div>That's it for now...happy Sunday, K</div>Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10695728117373061095noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383398111288774662.post-62879806741720505082014-03-02T10:48:00.001-08:002014-03-02T15:34:45.883-08:00My New Quilted Lunch Bag<b>I finished this lunch bag in February</b>. I used a charm pack of Chez Moi Mimi and some of the floral print yardage for the lining. <br />
<div>
<img alt="" id="id_8be5_7f41_e3ff_33a" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmT8oiuof-Ogmf8dPzFYu4aakx52YhcbWXrT2jXREDWEzXBJyEOdyPbsvJkkyMocVAkyfPor6RUrXcQ0mjxbhpKNdER-jDvqrJkhD9ymNZSWyQ9L5ZingcnL5vqIKsg5nzSYLYaq-Dhhfv//" style="height: 258px; margin: 4px; width: 297px;" title="" /></div>
<div>
I started with the dimensions of my plastic storage that I picked up at Target. It's pretty functional, large box with ice pack and 2 smaller 1 cup containers. I needed some extra space too for a can of soda so I designed it a bit roomy. </div>
<div>
<img alt="" id="id_d4e1_8b5c_b315_54fd" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIoRsEwDn5r0g2Gods8N2HKITfj6xPmoJ8B6uljAHf7Ld4eqVuVhtwhvNwNOpv0TYhTP_aqR0hzc5zHksLJYgFQKifsmk6EZ1s8m82F8shm4UE6BnlCKs-t2tk6CASd3upnb20A_AzumT2//" style="height: 846px; margin: 4px; width: 419px;" title="" /></div>
<div>
I used a double layer of insulbrite throughout the body, bottom and flap of the bag. It's quilted using a walking foot and a wavy stitch setting on my machine. I quilted on every line of the 1" postage squares. (finished size). For the interior I found a vinyl iron on product to laminate the fabric so clean up would be easy. I added a strap across the back so it slips onto my rolling briefcase that I use for work as my hands are often full with other stuff when going into my stores. It has a shoulder strap too. </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: medium;"><b>What I have discovered:</b></span></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Insulbrite works great, if you have the right size cold pack and can keep cold all day. My cold pack is kinda small and keeps cold well until lunch time. Leftovers must go in the fridge.</li>
<li>Vinyl laminate is really easy to iron on and cleans up wonderfully.</li>
<li>French seams were used on the inside seams of the box with tiny stitches which prevents leaking. I filed it with water for a minute and it didn't pour out. So no embarrassing leaks in front of my coworkers.</li>
<li>Shoulder strap needs to be repositioned, when the bag is heavy it tends to open. </li>
<li>Velcro closure keeps the bag sealed well and holds the cold in. Probably would work with a hot lunch too.</li>
</ul>
<div>
Overall a pretty good lunch bag and lots of people think it's cute and asked where I got it. Made by me of course!!!</div>
</div>
<div>
I didn't take pictures as I sewed so here it is all finished!!</div>

Yes I have been working on it forever!! I am still in love with my fabrics, Polka Dot Stitches, by Lori Holt, and only have 40ish more pieced hexies to make. I started basting with the sewline glue pen and that has really speeded up that part of the process so I can get down to sewing. There are lots of blogs and Vidieos to help you along. This is what I chose.....</div><div><br></div><div>First you line up a row and whip stitch the side corners together. I did this for all the rows. Then I laid them on top of each other and used Roxanne's glue baste to stick them all together into 1 piece. Then I used an appliqué stitch to sew them all together, pulling out the papers as they got in my way. </div><div><br></div><div>At this point I prepped my fabric for the bag using my new Bohin 3 in 1 chalk pencil to draw my pattern onto my fabric. I then position my patch of clams onto this once again using glue baste to adhere for sewing. I did an unusual pattern with full circles for the bottom of the bag as you can see in the picture so that all the clams are going up when the bag is complete. </div><div><img id="id_f10b_64e0_f0ff_dada" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3YFNR32rS6WXl3HEEsfTpwUaF7oW2HarHTkFmrRDsKQAb1Jc026r7f9VSvEVj5RGVsKSw2o5gvDSZX3avysErkpLfdk0jFUqcwFpB9vqGaesF_NdAcZAo8QE_Eu0YjN8tzegQEpLebQtT//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 601px;"></div><div><br></div><div>This is as far as I got with late night sewing. Ready to sew.</li><li>Hexie quilt- made a few more blocks. I'm happy I got some done. Still my largest WIP.</li></ul>Things to get started on</div><div><ul><li> Sunnyside chevron quilt for Michelle.</li><li>Pouch swap- bought a circle punch to make some 1" clamshells. If you missed this round there is a wait list for the next one. Super fun!</li><li>Rag rugs, I am in desperate need of new floor rugs in the kitchen and this has been on my want list for quite a while.</li></ul></div><div>.<img id="id_154_8586_239a_baf4" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-Zpgw7fVnI4A-lw8nbGpwNU1R83x5NJ0g_PDu7WF_RtHsGiuMbdWBt_TQA3huhjSLHOfngsYl450o-Ilvd01W6JVvTDdXPnm351V-nICTFjL-cqeeTdoIY3I3FMAV72FC909rBUCp63Gy//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 500px; height: 343px;"></div><div><br></div><div>Oh and I started a rag rug with this cool tool I picked up at the Quilt Show. My life revolves around the fiscal calander at work. I have worked in retail for 27 years and the new year starts in February. <div><br></div><div>Several years ago my niece asked what my new year resolution was? I said I don't know the year is not over, I still have to get through January, inventory, get spring started, have a little vacation then I can think about it. A bit mind boggling but she gets it now.</div><div><br></div><div> Well I'm fully into inventory right now.....super stressful, intense and never enough time to be prepared as much as I want them to be. I have survived at least 50 of them so I'm sure it will be fine but in the thick of things not much time for resolutions or sewing. Oh yeah as an operations manager I'm in charge of 3, $45 million dollar stores. That all take inventory on the same day! </div><div><br></div><div>I have been reading lots of other peoples resolutions so I'm going to have lots of inspiration to make my own on February 1st. </div><div><br></div><div>I did finish 1 major project this year which was the Sunnyside quilt my daughter wanted for Christmas. </div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_b53_8d72_9dac_5965" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIqezEVzEKMnkPwkbrKEmfVfPVuTf8tQatjSkoVJGhpPv7jmwMKFwsDhkvJjY76Bf6lZmzCQEOvolzfCgOrk4GSVi-3weLxC9y6smoug4NXOhY97oQQqKpgGuO8Me5ahq-9gWRMrDoUFiq//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 950px;"></div><div><img id="id_1870_4556_1f11_3de" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeT8gVnOLISK4Q2R9hbXbRvBBz_khBKwK79g7FYLd2ZOWtoMADln1eIxRoP7LRM7sPUC-x2WN-jI3YtYAjUN5v-WXQ7TFPBqjY_Fcb_wJACvhYrgW1OoHS2FCyORc0ggyiu-lTjPsfQA3P//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 950px;"></div><div><img id="id_56c_2cd5_effb_8e1" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqh50jvmnPPuBMZXJQcvIcAAEdvS7dKYTRh0fEQcaJFlDTk9dL_Bxdwl5gAmVYUH3rUDU2DAf8Tv7ocjenYNBDHtRoJCJu_6TTVPED5nPX8FAudUxdAuWfGIiHxYBCpFrBwIGYRhS02M7k//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 530px;"></div><div>My youngest was going to make a pillow to go with it from the scraps, well that turned into a king sized pillow sham!! Yikes where has my time gone?? I'm working on a couple of quilty items for my girls, but need ideas for the rest of the family. Free time is going to be limited as things heat up at work, so they have to be quick and easy.<div><br></div><div>Last year I made cute kitchen towels, a small floor rug, mini tote bags for lunch boxes and a lap quilt. Oh and a couple tripple zip bags. Maybe I can whip up a few more of those, they were quite the hit and so easy to make. </div><div><img id="id_2970_386c_25c3_2fe9" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgki_PzdeyviUOdbKmTdcFeICnblu0LnoU8h2qlwvR6MM6wInCNl7MjIME46RDmEvZkfXzFfnvAnFi941bK9iJYkglQ4U7BqCkIJJi5mn6YXZf301_tE2inoOAncoUbAMnBSIUvQss_K5En//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 533px;"></div><div><img id="id_e065_8ce4_ac3f_35d3" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIzs5wOwdOmoHmrbqpXHSoDcuWSOX3E4CMqdFaO3VBb7c_FdHGxUMOXSo7vc3RQZ-U22s_Uc-dlX-OG6jHiVxyXDOtijpTdcJR0cXmZIy-nOsphGa3lAw7eXs0S5NF2PakDM8nred7-qlD//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 227px; height: 400px;"></div><div><br><div><img id="id_ac2f_456_7ad9_f80f" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK9KI6k3pDJKpPGkCfOrVfzoo_HbKKV5HXmyQJTawFyqvEVNpU-_nYdv5bIr7jmyiLdiyUp4RR3edd6n6w9cSrzET8_kvGwRaQI1xws7AqljnfV6HWOHMT3TJ1HNbC7qnwYFnfFQM08727//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 280px; height: 218px;"></div></div><div><br></div><div><font size="5">What are you working on?</font> <font size="5">I would love to hear your ideas.....K</font></div>Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10695728117373061095noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383398111288774662.post-48842935232139658272013-11-10T11:38:00.001-08:002013-11-10T11:38:23.567-08:00"In Hand" EPP Party 2Well this seems like a fun little party to join over at <a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/frame?blog=3380174&group=0&frame_type=b&link=aHR0cDovL2h5ZGVlYW5uc2V3cy5ibG9nc3BvdC5jb20v&frame=1&click=0&user=0" id="id_6740_fafa_495c_3e3" target="_blank">Splish, Splash, Stash</a>!! I love my EPP and sharing it on my blog, but for some it can be a bit boring seeing the same thing over and over again, when really I am so excited about sharing the 1 block that I worked on for hours!! I am always drawn to the complex, I don't know why, things may start simple but I just like adding more. I have been slowly working on my EPP quilt that is a version of <a href="http://www.broderie.typepad.com/" id="id_a4c7_efb4_1210_3377" target="_blank">Broderie's</a> Candied Hexagons that I found on <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/91636153@N07/8561541602/" target="_blank" id="id_5d0c_a55e_2975_2f17">flicker</a>. I made this for my daughter to hang on her front door. My favorite part is the cauldron of eyeballs....the story behind the dress you ask? When my girls were little the oldest hand sewed the witch dress for her baby sister with stars and moons. (My kids are 10 years apart). She made the entire dress herself, cutting all the pieces and completing when I was at work. Makes a mom so proud, so of course a witch dress is not complete without moons and stars. </div><div><br></div><img id="id_b381_79c8_4b3f_18f9" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAdK9kpAVAJp6SuhnxHqlQjMMCO4eTO14JF73kdr5fMOSCpXrUJ8BJJ9sdAjHoEcJXNngXXHcgeOTXjEhANo06LmkFVL88dZ95nfpiejzXdlcv3at5ecYllgAjApZU1NdcvZPdWK5z-p8D//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 947px;"><div><img id="id_1bdc_2b7a_1975_3862" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9kjhFYgopKauMiJkU5oISkLCCCkbP3c86U66JYTy_QdbrAd_RI-rDt3gXanSUztsRTKtBtVBRei8B8ZMywKFHmeNV2sYQJMfAEWKrZnvqdbgHMoojzn2ygKd-VyyXRor8rF_O9G5OISju//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 467px; height: 688px;"></div><div>Vintage photos, my baby is 19 now, no more trick or treating 😫<br><div><img id="id_bd9c_26f8_cb44_7d1c" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgQg1XaroxaNxFxpdCTVQBnKC8ro0Rsvbcpj5QZRVHH8vLcG3CXBYXE3Aon5hru4_tEaKJzd4QEloHOZEFkVds_WCv3wKLHzT6WNR4RuO0JPYMszFFZhQIiBYhOF08Pb93qvXFJHya4jvY//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 488px;"></div><div><img id="id_268f_d5af_a9f5_baec" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFP9Q_VqCa_i2mmy76RVx3K3XUz2S_GO2t0b5-sfuksACPlsM6b7rY04oBCjgRlJpz0Mhn2_MdFfR5F4u84DXUVJNYMiI42bu6C9iIZ6wN1DDP0ngeAGoHx8MxaWFdkJHhpV-adfLnE04y//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 532px;"><img id="id_f581_d672_240d_e32a" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1tkB052IgeLIymkZry0Ez5lvVBLbExT2eox26N9CWc3X3HSrw2MJQ04ZxXGVGYEuzgx1eEAkb6q_YdMIlkJ_sByyW6V-M6eGLDsw6Yhf8J_gpx8L22Prmtbwez-gbIvQMWbll34TB9Uma//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 532px;"></div><div><img id="id_f1ef_eaea_ed39_f570" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9UddfvxfbBzGqjUfy0MEGl1rb9KH5435FJF91iReZzPk6HlAAGUJBtt7AHXUf2XofkXiKvb1mYiTlnoXf4zOFFMB9ccFdRAKbIxeVQ_i1r42aPn-p6cIOi7O_X-6ON21-14pjoOxSFV0I//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 947px;"><img id="id_445b_31f9_838c_6aea" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj75WPyrI2qTI9G03OBR9G-pnczLF4rMzVI6R8Rh6S4HafW-e6WkvPihsYuowVTZ9A4-HtiPWnVhtdZvEvApJMSZBm9Wfz9hNXouK_Qr5IBZXvGUt_GFtpvRQuVYOhux2jxYsrpg0waNSzt//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 532px;"></div><div><div>FMQ with some pumpkin and vines that I saw on Leah Day's site.<img id="id_a4a9_7fd1_7324_4910" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsJSeegoJSnGCYILFdeOugcCC5gsVLXM0kVxgK8S4eEYpGGXCZYzliqdAzihlhxcb5A5lgKryYnJ-LWFDxTM1wletH-Mo_N1MR2Q6LY57bRuqDsFtmtg9fyMvNBL9y-tikh602dc5DnB5s//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 532px;"><div>A little raw edge appliqué , fussy cut to get some spooky eyes, and some hand stitching.<br><div><img id="id_b964_ad5c_2421_ebe0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK52iAkSYZQoN4TLHtaGPnVDwuVz7tlsw7m2eBlNi61RFw1JxSeXrztrD37fqAY3B9LVY8QyQOn5iLF-MCx3z3piHON34XyKdZmr2nXZc-muqBms9RJNPfc8qLAguKPXJrEJp714-Kg86b//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 947px;"><div><img id="id_328_1e03_ba1f_8d79" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI5gTfOC1z4Wne0xWlQjmUNcXwPXendCIvfh1E5wTzSzRV-9ZZz859koBNydNG3IR22wWjfhyTRdWoZhPIv8mROZfzFYkOZNX-uJ26uVdDm2bjPKA0LEeGEf9umum_axz5fODY8dNtnWlB//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 532px;"><div>Spider in Huntersville NC, luckily I don't see them that big here in Southern , CA.</div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>So go check out the <a href="http://amyscreativeside.com/2013/10/25/bloggers-quilt-festival-fall-2013/" id="id_218f_87e3_b4ac_9459">Quilters Blog Festival</a> voting starts on Monday. </div>Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10695728117373061095noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383398111288774662.post-2259043681169822772013-10-18T23:05:00.001-07:002013-10-20T10:55:24.623-07:00Weekend SewingThis weekend I am working on my Kate Spain Sunnyside jelly roll. I usually don't buy precuts but I have to say they are a timesaver and if you are not sure about the fabric line it's a great way to see all the prints a line has to offer. I do have to admit I love, love, love the color pallet and am going to be real jealous of the recipient of this quilt. I do have to have it done by early dec for shipping to one of my favorite girls. This quilt features a chevron of diamonds and is super cool!! Matching the points is definitely challenging but will be well worth the effort. Here is the first color way diamond.<div><img id="id_f8b3_cb4b_d2ea_c3d1" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHGbyCETr4vDYzfA224fl1GNos70vzePqHisdxWsfIiBofKe2GEpjzAqHQy-PkwGUrVD85i7-N8ikrz2k7euwfkmUwgw2pRUF9XHohNKIA_99gvpj2Kn5-u1t59n4GoxMNqmgM2ecz8qrK//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 389px;"></div><div><img id="id_7ef6_a531_1fa9_68a5" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRsGTQV53OGKBdM9W5a0hJJvVFnhxjMdKgAY_ui7qdofF9dZ80zQ-gx91aAnxdoogYlUPY187fb7w2YxzC8SuYb0ZGAInHsGhi5XNb7bKuYYTJtOoQIO56LRZAv-3wzEoshToTTHmaeWxw//" alt="" title="" style="margin: 4px; width: 710px; height: 530px;"><br><div><br></div><div></div></div>Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10695728117373061095noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383398111288774662.post-91662194655196597232013-10-13T11:08:00.001-07:002013-10-19T10:35:30.712-07:00Zippered Phone Wallet <div><font size="5"> Sharing some pictures of this fun little zippered phone wallet I made this week. I'm super happy with how it turned out, I think I am going to make it into a tutorial. Once I got all the measurements right it was a breeze to put together. I love the gusset on the side, it's so easy to get my phone or cards out of it. <strike>I just need to find some hardware and I will add the wrist strap</strike>..DONE...I picked up the zipper at a craft show yesterday and it was the perfect size and color but they didn't have any swivel clasps. The pattern has over 40 pictures on how to make the frame that goes on the front, how to ensure all the ports are not covered and the front facing camera etc... I added the Velcro, not part of the pattern and my first one was fine without it, but it makes me feel more secure. I love how it came out. I actually wore out the last one. I used some batiks from Hawaii that I picked up several years ago.
